I think the exhaust is really a poor design. Sure it winds its way through the bike so it can end up coming out the ass end like all the young guys like, but having it go through the frame and next to the carbs makes it a bitch to work on, AND not to mention all that heat near that end carb float bowl. Fire hazard!
I just see no reason that the exhaust cannot go downwards and out of the way and clear of the engine and carbs.
No reason it has to come up high and out the ass end other than to just be unlike what us older guys already used to do.
Make designs that make sense,not just style.
